I grew up in Cork, Ireland but my heart now belongs to Toronto, Canada, my adopted hometown. The best of each city (and a few other places in between) has contributed to my sense of self, helped shape who I have become and how I experience the world. Holding onto my Irish-ness and sense of being European, yet embracing the wonder of living in a big North American city and understanding what it means to be Canadian, has had a big influence on the evolution of my personal style story. I have learned that the universal language of style is a fascinating way to tune in to who I am, understand who I am not, be creative, purpose-driven and have the confidence to express my inner self - at every stage of my corporate career, as well as entrepreneurship!
I spent over 20 years in senior corporate Marketing roles, leading cross- functional teams and building globally recognized brands in the luxury goods, grocery retail and toys & entertainment industries. For 10 of those years, I managed the Barbie brand which served to further ignite my passion for fashion and styling. Barbie’s iconic status as a fashion muse influenced the career of so many fashion designers and in some way, I like to think that she also opened my eyes to what could be possible for me!
After a rewarding and fulfilling Marketing career, I reached the point in my mid-late 40s where I felt I had the energy and ambition to be creative in a different way and empower women at a more personal level. So I made the bold decision to reinvent my career and launch this Style Coaching™ business. I provide a unique blend of “personal styling meets personal development” working with individuals on how to use their style to feel confident and empowered during those pivotal moments in their career.
Style Coaching™ allows me to combine the talent and skills I honed in my corporate career, together with my passion for style and fashion, to provide something that empowers, uplifts, inspires and has the potential to create lasting change in the lives of mid-life professional women. My mission is to help mid-life female leaders realize the value of using personal style as a self-empowerment tool to amplify their personal and professional success. The holistic nature of what Style Coaching™ offers, appeals to me more than just personal styling on its own - because it creates lasting change for you. Far beyond clothing, accessories and personal grooming, Style Coaching™ is about the multiple ways I can help you nurture self-confidence, reframe how you see yourself and access an abundance of self-esteem – allowing you to get on with making your mark on life!
